Day 4 Trek to Acadia National Park
The day started with shower rotation in our VRBO (Janie, Sheila, Kent with Jeff anchoring). Packed up the Q5 Audi rental and tour downtown Portland and South Portland.
First we saw this store front, then hiked to falls and then realized river ran through the downtown.
We found some nice views at various parks and then after gas and potty break started drive north. Janie was fascinated with the idea of NYC Fried Chicken. Lots of great pics from this beautiful day in ME.
We then headed north to our end of day destination of Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park). Via a lot of little towns like Belfast and Rockland.
Rockland drive through on way to Camden, which was recommended by several and did not disappoint. We started with a lunch break at the Water Front restaurant.
House of Logan
River under the downtown fascinated us all, so we traced up the hill and then drove to lake source.
Departed for lake, then drive to VRBO. Another sign of importance. Drake's
A General Store stop for the ladies to get hot chocolate and a couple of cookies.
Homes on Islands in lake that fed river in Camden. Then a replacement bridge with Observatory.
VRBO is just north of Bar Harbor. After checkin to VRBO we headed to Bar Harbor and selected Paddys Irish Pub with our waiters name being Acadia. Local girl who was very nice.
Found Another sign on way home for Poppy!
Night night!!!
